Patient Testimonials
-
What is the difference between Direct Primary Care and Concierge Care?Direct Primary Careprovides access to primary care and membership benefits independent of insurance. Insurance is not billed for DPC patients. Concierge care provides enhanced access to care and exclusive membership benefits while still billing patient's insurance for specific medical services.
-
Which patients are eligible for house calls?Dr. Britt is pleased to offer old-fashioned house calls for patients who have limited ability to attend in-person appointments. If the patient has a regular care-taker who attends to his or her daily needs, we ask that the care-taker or another support person be present during the appointment. Contact us to discuss your specific needs.
-
Will I benefit if I don't require medical attention?Yes! We believe that primary care is intended for every stage of life. Let us help you proactively manage your health to prevent avoidable complications, and equip you to face unexpected obstacles. Furthermore, injuries and illnesses cannot be anticipated, and membership with our practice gives you immediate access to simplified care so you can avoid the exorbitant cost, over-treatment, and inconvenience of an emergency room or urgent care clinic.
-
Do you accept health insurance?Yes! We are developing contracts with an exhaustive list of commercial insurers as well as Medicare and TriCare. Patients who would like for us to bill their insurance join our practice as Concierge Care Members and enjoy all of the benefits of membership while having their insurance billed for any medical services provided. Clicking the button below will route you to our Concierge Care page where you'll find a full list of insurance companies we currently work with.
-
Do DPC patients still need health insurance?Direct Primary Care (DPC) patients do not need insurance to be patients in our practice. However, we strongly recommend that our DPC patients have a qualified High Deductible Health Plan, HealthShare Ministry Plan, or ERISA based employer plan to ensure financial security should expensive medical needs arise outside of the scope of primary care, such as cancer, hospitalization, or specialty care.
-
Do you provide employer group memberships?Yes! We enthusiastically embrace the opportunity to work with you to develop a customized plan to meet your employee's needs. Contact us for a customized quote.
-
Will Dr. Britt manage my care if I am hospitalized?Dr. Britt maintains hospital privileges at St. Joseph's and Candler Hospital. Should you find yourself in the unfortunate circumstance of requiring hospitalization, she will manage your care directly if you are admitted to St. Joseph's or Candler Hospital. If you are admitted to any other hospital, she will communicate closely with the hospitalists and subspecialists managing your care to ensure continuity from the outpatient to inpatient setting.
-
What ages do you treat?Dr. Britt treats patients “out of the womb into the tomb.” In other words, she cares for patients of all ages. She does not provide obstetric care, but will gladly recommend a wonderful obstetrician to manage your pregnancy.
-
Do you provide vaccines? We provide a limited number of vaccines in the office. For vaccinations not provided in our office, we coordinate appropriate access to immunizations either through the Health Department or your pharmacy. Please see our vaccine policy for further explanation, or contact us with questions.
-
Are there any limitations to my ability to contact Dr. Britt?Membership at Cornerstone Health provides you with unparalleled access to your physician. You may call or text Dr. Britt at any time with any medical need. On the occasion that Dr. Britt is unavailable to receive calls or texts, she will arrange for a trusted colleague to respond to urgent patient needs. This will be communicated to members with advanced notice.
-
What if I determine that Cornerstone Health is not right for me?We understand that circumstances in life change, and you may ultimately decide that membership with our practice is not the best choice for your primary care needs. When you become a member with Cornerstone Health, your membership agreement is effective for 12 months, at which time membership will be renewed. However, you are not “locked in” to a specific time obligation, and you may cancel at any time. We will refund a prorated portion of your monthly or annual fee as appropriate. Your membership agreement does guarantee your rate for 12 months (meaning that if our rates increase, you will not see the increase until your agreement is up for renewal).
-
Do you have a pharmacy?Yes, we carry nearly 100 medications and offer them at discounted cash pay rates. Insurance is not accepted for in-house pharmaceuticals.
-
Are my membership fees tax deductible?Unfortunately, no, DPC/Concierge membership fees are not tax deductible as they are not recognized by the IRS as "qualified medical expenses". Please consult with your tax advisor for further information.
-
What is the processing time for prescriptions and forms at Cornerstone Health? To ensure that we can provide efficient care to all of our members, we respectfully ask that patients allow a 24-hour turnaround for all prescription requests. For paperwork and forms, such as medical records, insurance forms, or specialist referrals, we request a 5-day turnaround. This processing time helps us to thoroughly review and handle each request with the attention it deserves, maintaining the high standards of care that are the cornerstone of our practice. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

What is SoftWave Therapy?SoftWave therapy is a non-invasive treatment that uses patented technology to promote healing at the cellular level, improve blood supply, and initiate the body’s natural healing process. It uniquely delivers energy to an injured, scarred or inflamed area and helps reduce pain, speed up recovery, and regenerate tissue. It is available at licensed medical clinics throughout the United States. Treatment typically takes 5-10 minutes, and no anesthesia, numbing agents, or recovery time is required.
-
Does SoftWave hurt?SoftWave therapy is a non-invasive and non-surgical treatment. Some patients feel a mild tapping or pulsing on the skin, while others experience some discomfort in the treatment area. Some say it feels like a rubber band snapping against the skin. Your provider can adjust the intensity to tolerate. The level of discomfort may also depend on the amount of pain the patient is already experiencing. Most patients can tolerate for the duration of the treatment, which lasts on average 5-10 minutes.
-
Is SoftWave safe?SoftWave is a patented and FDA-cleared treatment that activates the body’s natural healing process. It is a safe, non-invasive, and drug-free option for treating a variety of conditions, including chronic pain, inflammation, orthopedic conditions, and musculoskeletal injuries. Treatment usually lasts between 5-10 minutes and does not require anesthesia or numbing agents. Downtime for recovery after treatment is not typically needed. SoftWave is trusted by leading medical providers across the country, including Mayo Clinic, Cleveland Clinic, Shepherd’s Center, and more, as well as professional sports organizations including MLB, NFL, NBA, NHL, MLS, NCAA, PGA, USGA USATF, WNBA, Premier League, and UFC.
-
Does SoftWave have side effects?Generally there are no side effects from SoftWave therapy and if there are, they are minimal and non-restrictive. SoftWave does not cause bruising or swelling, although some patients may experience slight redness and soreness that typically subsides within one to two days. Is SoftWave therapy covered by insurance? The short answer is no. Each patient will pay a flat fee for each treatment or a bundle of treatments. However, we will submit most claims to your insurance company for 2 primary reasons: To create a record of patients treated for each insurance company. These companies regularly audit their claims and evaluate the benefit(s) of coverage for various services, treatments and visit types. If providers do not submit claims (even if they are perpetually denied), it is unlikely that insurance companies will ever offer coverage for the treatment. Some insurance companies will pay for this treatment. We'll never know which ones until we actually submit the claims. The eventual goal would be to allow patients to choose whether they choose insurance or self-pay options. For now, the treatment will be cash-pay only.

Easy and Direct Access to Primary CareSame-Day or Next-Day Appointments: The DPC (Direct Primary Care) model typically allows us to provide same-day or next-day appointments, reducing the wait time that’s often experienced in traditional primary care. Extended Appointment Times: Appointments are typically longer and slower paced, allowing you the opportunity to fully discuss your health concerns without feeling rushed.
-
Lower Out-of-Pocket CostsNo Co-Pays or Deductibles: DPC operates on a fixed monthly fee, covering most primary care services without additional co-pays, deductibles, or unexpected costs, which reduces the financial burden. Affordable Access to Primary Care: For those with high-deductible health plans, DPC provides cost-effective, comprehensive care that might otherwise be delayed or skipped due to cost concerns.
-
Comprehensive, Preventive CareFocus on Preventive Health: DPC emphasizes preventive care and early intervention, which can improve your long-term health and help them manage chronic conditions before they escalate. Routine Health Screenings and Counseling: DPC includes routine screenings and wellness checkups, which encourage patients to stay on top of their health.
-
Personalized and Relationship-Based CareStronger Provider Relationships: With DPC, patients often see the same provider, allowing you the opportunity to build a stronger, more trusting relationship. This relationship fosters open communication and a better understanding of individual health needs. Care Continuity: DPC offers continuity of care, where your provider is familiar with your history, preferences, and health goals, leading to more personalized treatment.
-
Greater Convenience and Flexibility24/7 Access to Providers: Many DPC providers offer direct access via phone, email, or text, giving employees peace of mind with on-demand support, even outside of office hours. Virtual and Remote Visits: DPC often includes telemedicine options, which are convenient for employees who may not be able to attend in-person visits or who prefer virtual consultations for minor health concerns.
-
Increased Healthcare AccessibilityProactive Health Management: Knowing they can easily access care allows employees to be proactive about their health, reducing stress related to delayed or inaccessible medical care.
-
Improved Overall Health and Quality of LifeBetter Chronic Condition Management: DPC's focus on regular monitoring and personalized care is ideal for managing chronic conditions like diabetes, hypertension, and asthma, leading to better health outcomes and quality of life. Lower Healthcare CostsPredictable Expenses: DPC operates on a flat, monthly fee per employee, making healthcare costs more predictable. This eliminates unexpected co-pays, deductibles, and fluctuating insurance rates tied to typical fee-for-service care. This can lower an employer’s insurance premiums over time if paired with a high-deductible health plan (HDHP).

It can serve as a differentiator when recruiting and retaining talent.
-

-
Potential for Lower Overall Insurance CostsPaired with HDHPs: DPC pairs well with high-deductible health plans, allowing employers to offer coverage for major medical events while using DPC for primary care. This approach can lead to lower premiums on traditional insurance, as it reduces the use of insurance for routine visits.
-
